This is especially important in the winter when snow and ice are common, and it lets you travel quickly over those obstacles without getting stuck or sliding out of control. Webb8 juni 2024 · Tech 7 Enduro - Very similar to Tech 5, with slightly more outside ankle protection, rigidity, and "enduro" heel sole protrusion. Appears to be better off-bike grip than flat tech 5, but no where near a real hiking boot sole (or the below boots). Current frontrunner, but had I kept Tech5, cost would not justify the upgrade. Size 9.

WebbI ended up with Tech 7s with the enduro sole, non drystar. I have a set of street alpinestars with drystar and when they get wet they stay that way all day. They're comfy to me.
